Todd Nicholson – Managing Director

Todd is experienced in SME business management, operational execution and growing business.

Todd’s career began in Melbourne, Australia in the early 2000’s where he did his golf professional apprenticeship, studied small business management and gained valuable life experiences. After completing his three year apprenticeship and studies, Todd travelled the world from 2007 to 2012 competing as a professional golfer across four continents before injuries forced him to explore another direction. From 2012 to 2017 Todd established himself as one of Australia’s leading Golf Professional Coaches running a large junior academy and scholarship program at one of Australia’s most prestigious private clubs in Metropolitan Golf Club. Todd was the Head Professional at Metropolitan from 2015 to 2017. During his time in Australia, Todd established Horizon Golf Tours which was a boutique tourism company specializing luxury holidays for travelers seeking to stay and play at only the best locations in the South Pacific. Horizon Golf also took 20 travelers to the United Kingdom in 2013 on the two week excursion for the Open Championship.

Todd relocated back in New Zealand in late 2017 to support his Father and assist him in managing the growing portfolio of Trust interests. Since then, Todd has been managing the Trust on behalf of his siblings and has since developed a passionate for the extractives industry, environmental care and quarry operations. He holds his certificate of competency as a B Grade Quarry Manger and is currently working through is A grade level certificate.

James Bowen – Director

James is the principle and Director of Moore Markhams accountancy in Whanganui. James has been in the industry over two decades and joined the firm in 2010 after graduating from Massey University in 2000 and spent five years at a large accounting practice in New Plymouth. During that time, James gained his CA qualification before heading overseas in 2005.

James spent five years in London gaining valuable experience before the lure of Whanganui finally pulled him and his family back to New Zealand.

James has a keen interest in contracting, extractives, manufacturing and the pharmacy industries. With his clients covering a wide spectrum of business activities. his main areas of expertise include business structures, planning and strategies, tax minimisation, and profitable growth.

James is a board member of Whanganui City College, Sport Whanganui, Splash Centre and the New Zealand Masters Games.

Will Wilson – Independent Advisor

Will is an experienced Director with his current roles being:

  1. Chair of Foley Farming Enterprises Ltd- a large scale lamb and cattle finishing business located in Hawkes Bay
  2. Deputy Chair of Whakarewarerwa Thermal Village Tours Limited
  3. Numerous Trusteeships and Directorships associated with farming, forestry & extractives.

Will also provided advice through Wilson Consultancy to some of the leading agricultural farming businesses in New Zealand, with an emphasis on; policy advice; business structures; finance and funding; business strategy as well as everyday management planning.

This advice extends to providing technical advice on a regular basis to clients, as well as business executive and governance roles as required.
