We Have Three Locations.

We are home to three consented quarries in the south Taranaki area all located with 10km of the coastline

  • Ōpunake Quarry – Aggregates produced from lahar andesite material.

  • Nukumaru Quarry – Aggregate produced from shellrock material (limestone).

  • Hāwera Quarry – Aggregates produced from alluvial andesite material.

Nukumaru Quarry.

Establised in 2019, Our Nukumaru Quarry is located 5km along Nukumaru Station Road, off state highway three, 25km west of Whanganui. We supply shellrock (limestone) formed during the major Oligocene limestone-forming period in New Zealand about 22–30 million years ago.

Hāwera Quarry.

Established in 2012, Our Hāwera Quarry supplies aggregate extracted and produced from a land based alluvial andesite deposit. Alluvial means deposited by rivers [alluvium] and andesite is volcanic rock (or lava) containing moderate amounts of iron and magnesium.

Ōpunake Quarry

Established in 2009, our Ōpunake Quarry supplies aggregate extracted and produced from lahar andesite deposits. Lahar is the method by which the deposits came to be at the site via a debris flow composed of a slurry of pyroclastic material, rocky debris, and water. The material flowed from Mount Taranaki leaving behind large lahar mounds which can be spotted in areas west of the Mountain.
